In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a testimony is a personal witness, or a spiritual confirmation, that a person has received from the Holy Ghost that certain truths are true. This witness is not just a belief, but a deep, internal knowing, often described as a "still small voice" or a feeling of peace and joy.
On the first Sunday of each month, each church congregation holds a "Testimony Meeting". Members are encouraged to share a brief, heartfelt testimony of our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ, and the truths of the restored gospel.
